Customer Reviews:
5 out of 5 stars It's not a love potion...   August 22, 2006

But it does help people open up to you, talk to you more, and become more friendly. If you have unrealistic expectations of pheromones, don't buy this!
This will not make any person of the opposite sex look at you and fall head over heels in love with you. However, it will make people a bit (although noticeably) more friendlier, talkative, etc. etc.

4 out of 5 stars Doesn't bring the boys to the yard, but has an impact on the ones already there   June 22, 2009

I'm a bit embarassed to be writing this review (which is probably why there are so few here already) but I felt compelled based on my experience to give feedback in the hope that it will be helpful.

I did a lot of reasearch on the different pheremone products prior to making this purchase (I also purchased "Scent of Eros" which remains untested to date). I'm aware the that the science behind it is relatively unproven in the sense that there are not a lot of high integrity studies that prove their efficacy. However, I have a hormonal imbalance that causes my body to produce too much testosterone and causes all manner of problems, one of which I have worried is that I do not attract men in the same way I used to. I'm socially adept, not bad looking, and live in an area where there are a lot of men my age (late 20s) with whom I could hopefully have a meaningful relationship. But when it comes down to good old fashioned physical attraction, I just seem to keep striking out.

Primal Instinct is the most expensive product I looked at and appeared to have a good percentage of the market share. It claims to be unscented, but it actually has a light, musky smell that is not unpleasant and blends naturally alone and had no negative impact when added to my regular scent (Rosewood by Banana Republic). It comes in a small blue vial as shown with a "drip top" underneath the cap. I was suprised that the consistency is a bit oily, however it blends into the skin well.

I was nervous to use it so I started with just a dab on each wrist and behind each ear. Whether the effect is placebo or not, I'm not sure, but I noticed an immediate improvement in MY mood. Assuming that it had a useful life of about 4-6 hours of exposure, based on what I had read, I anxiously went to my meetings at work and looked for discernable indications that people were reacting differently.

The first thing I noticed was that a couple of women who were usually rather standoffish were friendly and talkative. It could have been the circumstances, but it could have been the product. I've read that Primal Instinct does not cause other women to become agressive like other products so this was a relief.

The second thing I noticed was that my cubical neighbor (a man) was a lot friendlier as well. He literally walked over into my cube 6 or 7 times that morning, when usually he prefers to just talk to me over the wall. There is a very apparent change in his behavior.

On the way home that day I also observed men looking at me on the train more, and smiling more in general. Again, it could have been the shoes I was wearing, but it was enough of a difference for me to take note.

It is worth mentioning that I have not yet had the opportunity to try out Primal Instinct in a dating environment but I hope to do that soon.

All in all, I consider myself a satisfied customer. Shipment was prompt and discreet, although I did send the seller an email that was never returned inquiring about a tracking number. The product is well packaged and no more immoderately priced than any other perfume out on the market. It gives me the added confidence that maybe I am more attractive, and that alone is worth the price of admission, as they say.

4 out of 5 stars Works!   July 12, 2010

This stuff won't make guys attracted to you if they normally wouldn't be, but it does increase the interest of the ones that already like you. When I wore some around my boyfriend, he wouldn't leave me alone, and actually kept kissing the spot behind my ear where I applied it. I noticed some effect on my guy friends as well. They opened up more, flirted more.

1 out of 5 stars Feel like a fool purchasing   May 25, 2010

Thought I'd test it out on my hubby, wore it on a couple of romantic weekends we had plus out to clubs or social events just to see what kind of response I would get and I didn't notice even a 1% difference in response, and in fact it made me kinda of nauseas when I wore it. I used just a drop behind my ears mixed with my perfume oil. I don't know, just seems like my husband was less attentive when I wore it. We have great chemistry otherwise so I guess I'll stick with mother nature.
